On October 21, 2019 the name of 2019 Aurora Prize Laureate Mirza Dinnayi was inscribed in the unique modern manuscript. Mirza Dinnayi had been awarded the 2019 Aurora Prize at a ceremony at the Freedom Square, Yerevan that was part of the Aurora Forum week. The Aurora Prize is granted annually by the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative on behalf of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide and in gratitude to their saviors.

The Chronicles of Aurora is a hand-written tome that contains an account of all Aurora Humanitarian Initiative’s activities, features the stories of the Aurora Humanitarians and Laureates and reflects the Aurora Prize impact. The manuscript was first revealed to the public on April 24, 2018, the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. It is kept with more than 20,000 hand-written documents of great historical value being currently housed in Matenadaran, an important center for preserving Armenian heritage and humanitarian values. Each year new inscriptions dedicated to the Aurora Prize impact are added to the Chronicles, as well as new records of 365 words (366 on leap years), featuring the stories of the Aurora Humanitarians and the Laureate.

The inscription ceremony dedicated to the 2019 Aurora Prize Laureate Mirza Dinnayi was attended by the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative Co-Founders Vartan Gregorian and Ruben Vardanyan and all Aurora Prize Laureates, including Kyaw Hla Aung, Marguerite Barankitse and Dr. Tom Catena.
