The documentary film “Women of 1915” produced and directed by Bared Maronian was premiered in Yerevan on April 24, 2018. The screening was organized by the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative in collaboration with Armenian General Benevolent Union and Global Campus of Human Rights.

The film tells the inspirational stories of women who went through violence, torture and rape during the Armenian Genocide but who survived and told the world their stories and sufferings of Armenians during the genocide. One of those women was Aurora Mardiganian, the inspirational woman behind the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative. The film also features the heroic women who took an action and saved Armenians in the face of adversity.

The screening was followed by Q&A session with the director of the film.
