Dr. Simon Adams is the President and CEO of the Center for Victims of Torture and former Executive Director of the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect. Dr. Adams previously worked with governments and civil society organizations in South Africa, East Timor, Rwanda and elsewhere. He is also a former member of the international anti-apartheid movement and of the African National Congress in South Africa.
Dr. Adams is the author of five books with a focus on international conflict. He has also written for the New York Times and many other publications, and regularly appears as an expert commentator in the international media on issues related to human rights, mass atrocities and international justice.
