An ardent children rights activist, Shantha Sinha is known for saving hundreds of thousands underage workers by putting them back into schools. She has dedicated her whole life to making sure that Indian children, the future of her country, are not lost to hard work in the fields and on the factories, but protected on the state and social level and raised in a caring environment that puts their interests first. Shantha Sinha’s courage and resilience are truly inspiring – as are her achievements.
“Those in power and authority must have the ability to listen to the truth and the voices of children and protect them with a sense of urgency and make the lives of children safe and secure in the belief that defense of children is the only way to peace and harmony.”
These people live next to us. They are modern day heroes.
