Chulpan Khamatova

Chulpan Khamatova is one of the most celebrated young actresses of Russian theater and cinema. She was designated the title of Honorable artist of Russia, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, twice Laureate of State Prize of the Russian Federation, Laurate of Prize “Chaika,” etc. Khamatova was a student at GITIS when she made her film debut. She has since played more than 50 roles in Russian and European films and is now Art Director of Modern Art Festival Teritoria. 

Khamatova is also known for her work raising awareness around children with cancer. In 2005, Khamatova and Dina Korzun organized concert "Give me Life" at the stage of Sovremennik Theater to help children with hematological diseases. In 2006, Khamatova became Co-Founder of Podari Zhizn (Gift of Life) Charity Foundation, which helps children suffering from oncological and hematological diseases. 

Chulpan Khamatova was a 2019 Aurora Forum Goodwill Ambassador and served as an Aurora Prize Expert Panel Member for the period 2017-2020.
