Breaking the Silence: The Humanitarian Crisis and Sexual Violence in the DRC

Breaking the Silence: The Humanitarian Crisis and Sexual Violence in the DRC

The Aurora Humanitarian Initiative invites you to the Aurora Dialogues Online event titled “Breaking the Silence: The Humanitarian Crisis and Sexual Violence in the DRC,” which will be held on July 16, 2024.

Join us online for a live moderated discussion focusing on the rapidly deteriorating situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the impact of sexual and gender-based violence. The event will bring together humanitarians and human rights experts to shed light on the drastic turn for the worse in the conflict-ridden eastern DRC. The discussion aims to raise awareness, build momentum, and encourage regional leaders to prioritize and accelerate the peace process and, in turn, to end violence against women.

Your participation and engagement are vital in our collective effort to break the silence surrounding these critical issues and to foster a global dialogue that leads to actionable change.

The discussion will be held in English and livestreamed on our Facebook and YouTube channels. You are welcome to share your questions in the registration form, and the speakers will try to respond to the most urgent and frequently asked ones.
