On October 19, 2020, despite the challenges caused by the global pandemic and the heartbreaking military aggression in the Nagorno-Karabakh region, the first event of Aurora’s “Gratitude in Action” anniversary series took place in New York City, honoring the Aurora Prize Laureates and Humanitarians and the Initiative’s 5th anniversary. 
 

Anthony Marx, President and CEO of The New York Public Library, shared a powerful message at the “Gratitude in Action” event:

“The needs now are greater than we could’ve possibly imagined, but we know that out of dark times can come light. Aurora reminds us of that, from its founding after the Genocide for the Armenian people that now has brought forth and inspired such great works.”
