The 2018 Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity ceremony, Aurora Dialogues and other inspirational events took place on June 8-10, 2018 in Armenia.  

Pre-eminent humanitarians, academics, philanthropists, human rights defenders, government officials, journalists and business leaders from around the world have gathered for the purpose of galvanizing action to address today’s most pressing humanitarian challenges and to celebrate the best of humanity.

Father Tomas Gonzalez Castillo, 2018 Aurora Prize Humanitarian: "All sorts of people travel through Mexico, on their way to the United States, and, to a certain extent, the suffering and death that these people experience is comparable with the tragedies and massacres that took place in Europe and Asia in the past. And, the fact that Aurora is commemorating the Genocide that took place here, echoes and has an impact in America."
