AURORA DIALOGUES BERLIN 2017

AURORA DIALOGUES BERLIN 2017

The Dialogues are part of the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative, formed on behalf of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide and in gratitude to their saviors. We seek to empower modern-day saviors to offer life and hope to those in urgent need of basic humanitarian aid and thus continue the cycle of giving internationally.

Aurora Dialogues Berlin 2017 “Millions on The Move: Need for Development and Integration” will be held at the Robert Bosch Stiftung Representative Office in Berlin, Germany. Speakers will address the state of the global migration crisis and look at the role of different actors in advancing positive change, as well as development programs and solutions that can make a difference.

On 4-5 December, 2017, distinguished humanitarians, academics, philanthropists and business leaders will be brought together for a series of discussions focused on the global migration crisis. The list of speakers and panelists includes Noubar Afeyan, Senior Managing Partner and CEO, Flagship Pioneering; Jamila Afghani, Founder, Noor Educational and Capacity Development Organization, 2017 Aurora Prize Finalist 2017; Marguerite Barankitse, Founder, Maison Shalom and REMA Hospital, 2016 Aurora Prize Laureate; Dr. Franz Fischler, President European Forum Alpbach, and many others. The final panel will draw conclusions and make recommendations on how to proceed from Berlin and what approaches are more effective to resolve the effects of global migration.

This year the conference is coming to Berlin through a joint effort of the Aurora Humanitarian Initiative, the Mercator Foundation, the Robert Bosch Foundation and the Global Perspectives Initiative.

The Robert Bosch Stiftung opened its Berlin Representative Office in July 2012. Located in Berlin-Mitte between the Gendarmenmarkt and the Federal Foreign Office, it serves to showcase the activities of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in the capital. It offers a space for dialogue for all the Foundation’s target groups to engage and cooperate on the topics and regions that are part of the Robert Bosch Stiftung’s mission.
