Arousiak Maraian

I am Arousiak Maraian and I would like to tell you about my uncle-in-law, Edward Pompeian, who is the son of a first generation Genocide survivor.

Edward's father and mother escaped when he was 6 years old, leaving his twin baby sisters behind to perish. Edward's maternal grandmother also escaped the Genocide. Edward's father later settled in Wisconsin and served in the Navy in WWII.

Edward Pompeian nearly died from a kidney disease as a teenager but survived after receiving a kidney transplant. We are proud of him for having raised a beautiful family of four children with his wife and for opening a transplant house in Rochester, Minnesota, which welcomes thousands of transplant patients and is the largest of its kind in the world.
