Ruben Vardanyan: "Stay human with your values"

"I want to thank you, all of you – Aurora’s Selection Committee members, the Laureates, the Finalists, the organizers of this event, because you give me the courage, you give me the power to feel what I need to do. And this is why I moved to Artsakh. And I decided to stay with the people who need my help, just because I saw your example. This is why I want to say thank you… And I think this is only way we can save the world – if we have more people who are ready to give others everything they have, without expecting anything back. And last but not least, I’ll say, stay human. Stay human with your values. Give more than you received. And really, what we heard in these stories is about the people who are giving more what they are expecting to receive back. And they don’t care about whether they receive [anything] back or not. They just decide for themselves that they will give whatever they have to other people."

The speech of the Aurora Co-Founder Ruben Vardanyan at the Aurora Dialogues discussion titled "Tribute to the 2022 Aurora Humanitarians" at Scuola Grande San Teodoro in Venice, on October 15, 2022.
